To organise a course

The administering body holds the directory of approved FEEL-UK course directors, and those who are FEEL-UK certified.
They have available 4 manuals
  1. course director / organiser manual: including checklist for course requirements, course materials (pre-course materials, course materials, course content, course requirements and instructions) all in electronic form.
  2. faculty manual: including all the presentations and speaker notes, instructions for practical stations.
  3. student manual: containing pre course reading.
  4. mentors guide.
Once a course is proposed, the steps as outlined in are as follows:
  1. Where a director wishes to run a FEEL-UK course, he/she will contact the administering body, who will (if the director is on the approved list) send out electronically the checklist of course requirements.
  2. The course director will complete the checklist, including a statement that they agree to run the course in accordance with the course directions. This will be sent electronically back to the administering body.
  3. Once the checklist is received completed (including statement of agreement to comply with all course requirements) and payment received the administering body will send out the manuals , lecture slide set and associated documents.
  4. The course will then be run according to the minimum agreed standards.
  5. On completion of the course, a local certificate of attendance will be given to each candidate (provided they have attended the whole course) and a list of candidates who have successfully completed the day will be sent to the administering body.
  6. Candidates who have completed the course will then complete their logbook with mentored supervision.
  7. Once the logbook is completed and signed off as satisfactory, the candidate will send a copy to their course director .
  8. The course director will confirm the candidate has both completed the FEEL-UK course and logbook.
  9. The director will then contact the administering body to confirm the candidate has completed the logbook and is signed off.
  10. The administering body will then send a certificate of completion (FEEL-UK) to the candidate.
The aims of this method of implementation are to minimise administration centrally, and devolve power to the local course directors, whilst maintaining standards nationally.
The course would thus be run in the didactic manner as per the ALS or ATLS.
