Further training
In order to further develop echocardiographic skills, there are the following options
- Trans thoracic echocardiography accreditation via the BSE The choice of accreditation in TTE would be either Standard or Critical Care, depending upon the base specialty of the trainee.
- Trans oesophageal echocardiography - there are multiple courses available
- Additional focused echocardiography courses - multiple courses and protocols exist, however these are not supported by FEEL-UK or echocardiography accreditation bodies.
In order to further develop focused / peri resuscitation assessment, eg. FAST, lung ultrasound, there are several stand-alone courses both nationally and internationally.
