About FEEL-UK

Feel-UK is a programme intended to train practitioners in the use of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in a standard, ALS-compliant manner during the peri-resuscitation period.

The programme has been developed to meet training requirements in the UK using experience from various international courses teaching focused echocardiography in the critically ill (FEER Dr Raoul Breitkreutz, Germany, FATE Dr Erik Sloth, Denmark, SMART-echocardiography Dr Gabriele Via, Italy).

Feel-UK was piloted in 2009 with invited delegates including trainees from ST1 to senior registrars, consultants from all specialities, the Royal Colleges and other societies involved in looking after critically ill patients, and the Resuscitation Council. Feedback from these groups was incorporated to provide the current course format.
